No App maps.me (onde você consegue ver toda a trilha) é possível ver facilmente o começo, no canto esquerdo.

Praia do Cedro…

Praia do Bonete…

Praia do Peres e Praia do Oeste…

Vale a pena longas exposições!

7 Beaches Tail – Ubatuba

The 7 beaches trail is one of the many attractions to visit when you are in Ubatuba. It is located between Lagoinha beach and Fortaleza beach passing through 7 beaches as the name suggests. The trail is about 10km in length, with the stretches between the beaches Deserta and Cedro and the Cedro and Fortaleza have the steeper faces, the remainder of the trail fairly easy. You can set off on the trail by Lagoinha beach or Fortaleza beach, on both beaches the start of the trail is very easy to find on either side.

What to bring…
Remember, it’s 10km of trail so be sure to bring quick snacks, such as sandwiches wrapped in foil or cereal and protein bars and at least a liter of water. There are several water springs located along the trail, so if you need to refill, that is easy done. It is a good idea to bring snorkeling mask along as well, as the beaches of Cedro, Deseta and Bonete are great for snorkeling. Also don’t forget to bring the sunscreen and for the photographers out there, your camera gear!

Starting…
We wanted to catch the sunrise on the on Fortaleza beach due to the alignment of the sun and the beach, so we left the car by Lagoinnha beach and took a boat at 4:30 am (boat driver: Luan +55 12 99726-4387). It was a very interesting experience to go boating in the middle of the night, the further from the beach we went, the darker the skyline became, allowing us to better we could see the Milky Way, it was incredible!

Fortaleza Beach …
Fortaleza beach is a quiet bay shaped beach that offers harder sand and calm waters as way as plenty of bars with great infrastructure. The beginning of the trail is found on the left corner as you can see in the maps.me app image (hint: this maps.meapp shows the entire trail). The trail to Cedro beach is 2.2km with some steep climbs and steep descents, but without great difficulties.

Bonus, Pontão…
The beginning of the trail has a fork leading to a rocky coastline with a beautiful view of Fortaleza beach. It is well worth a stop, and you should even consider scheduling to watch the sunrise from there.

Cedro Beach …
In my opinion, the most beautiful of the 7 beaches! A great option for snorkeling, it offers soft golden sands and clear, calm waters, as well as a fresh and natural spring water where you can shower the saltwater off before continuing the trail. The next part of the trail has the steepest climb, and is the part of the trail where you will be most exposed to the sun.

Deserted Beach or Big Bonete …
Another beautiful beach with the same characteristics of Cedar and great for diving too. This beach already has some infrastructure in the form of houses and small bars. From here on, the trail becomes much easier.

Bonete Beach …
A small nice beach with the same characteristics as the previous two, it is also great for diving. This beach also offers small local infrastructure.

Peres Beach and West Beach…
From the beach of Peres, the trail become much easier, as it goes around the coast and does not require much climbing. The two beaches have similar characteristics, such as darker sands and the presence of some fishing boats and houses. They are not as good as the previous ones for bathing and diving, but are suitable for fishing.

Lagoinha Beach …
Our final destination, Praia da Lagoinha provides the most infrastructure among all the beaches of the trail, as well as hard sands and calm, clean waters.

Photography…
In addition to all things already said, for those who like landscape photography, this trail is a full plate! Many stone slopes for great composition, golden sands, usually without footprints, and for those who like long exposures do not forget to take your tripod and your ND filter, because the trail provides beautiful spots for photography.

I hope you have enjoyed this guide, and that is has helped you plan your next adventure!
